Scrapbooking Class...

Today, Tracie Thompson conducted another scrapbooking class and it went over really well. This particular class was centered on organization; more specifically, it was centered on organizing pictures. We hope to have more classes for those scrapbookers out there in the near future. Please keep an eye out...

Kevin Gerard's Visit...

Last week author Kevin Gerard visited the Lamar County Library System. At each branch, he gave a presentation on his books and then visited with those in attendance and signed autographs. Kevin Gerard is the author of the Conor and the Crossworlds series of YA Fantasy novels. While he was here, he also told us about a possible treasure hunt in the coming year in order to promote the third book in the series (with something hidden in Lamar County). The treasure hunt would take place nationally with prizes as of yet to be determined. For more information on Kevin Gerard, his series, and the treasure hunt, please visit
