Evening Book Club...

Our Evening Book Club had its first meeting since May last night. The topic for this meeting was "withdrawn books." Members were to select a recently withdrawn book and then come to the meeting and discus their choice, or choices. Some of the books discussed included, The Gift of Asher Lev by Chaim Potok, The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, Maigret and the Dosser by George Simenon, Maigret and the Man on the Bench by George Simenon, and Anthem by Ayn Rand. We had several good discussions on these books.

Our next meeting will be in September (Thursday, September 18 @ 6 p.m.) and we will be discussing The Last Chinese Chef by Nicole Mones. New members are always welcome; in fact, we need new members, so please stop by the library for more information.
