There was a tie for first place between Martha and Michelle. Their pies were an egg custard pie and a Macadamia Key Lime pie. There was also a tie for second place between Judy and Eugene. Their piers were a pecan pie and a chocolate pie and a key lime pie, respectively (the last two were both by Eugene).

Here is Martha's winning Custard Pie Recipe:

5 eggs, 1 c. sugar, 2 c. milk, 2 t. nutmeg, 1 t. vanilla, and a dash of salt.

1 - beat eggs
2 - combine all ingredients and beat well
3 - spread 2 T. white karo on pie crust before putting in pie mixture
4 - pour mixture in unbaked pie crust
5 bake 7 min. @ 450 degrees and then reduce heat to 325 degrees for an additional 35 minutes

Enjoy and we hope to see you at next year's Pie Making Contest!
